The founder
From the front desk up.
Arshad began in front-of-house at Crowne Plaza Perth and went on to run the front office at Pan Pacific Perth before moving into revenue management. That experience shaped his approach: every room, booking and revenue figure represents a hotel operation and the people responsible for it.
His revenue management career took him across Australia and the Middle East. He worked as Cluster Revenue Manager for Marriott in Melbourne, then managed pricing for The Ritz-Carlton Doha and Sharq Village during the FIFA World Cup. He later managed revenue and reservations for all eight Ascott-managed properties in Australia, from Sydney to Hobart. Across different brands, markets and revenue systems, the daily discipline remained the same: understand the booking position and prepare the team for the decisions ahead. He also saw the same recurring challenge: valuable time spent manually preparing the same reports every day.
